The Louisiana Cajun Navy are informal volunteer groups that consists of private boat owners who help with search and rescue efforts in flood disasters. This group started with Hurricane Katrina and were activated in 2016 louisiana floods along with Hurricane Harvey. They are credited with saving thousands of lives.
