One School Keeps History Of Land Rush Act Alive

American history tells the story of many settlers rushing for free land not to live off government but to live independantly and free of government. The oklahoma land rush was an example of the government giving away vast tracts of land for people to settle on. The Federal government still owns vast tracts of land that it keeps for itself and when it does dispose of the land, it auctions the land off so that only those people who have wealth, can afford it. Every year many properties are sold to raise money for the government. This video shows that some people still have the courage to keep history alive so that people can still remember the homestead act and land rushes.
