Homeless Atlanta High School Student Becomes Valedictorian And Inspires Others

This homeless teen from upper middle class to homelessness but never gave up her positive attitude. Her mother suffered from cancer and had to seek shelter with her daughter where ever they could. Rebecca said “I learned to focus on the positive tools that we have instead of the challenges in life. I began to view the world through a different lens.” Rebecca felt gratitude was very important to have to maintain the positive outlook. “I realized that I had much to be thankful for, and that I had potential.” She was able to maintain 4.2 GPA and went on to become Valedictorian.
