Adorable boy refuses to leave the stage as Pope Francis gives Family day address… and steals the show when he gives his leg a hug.
It was a day to celebrate families but one little boy took it a bit further and managed to steal the show when he got on stage with the Pope.
The Pontiff was addressing a crowd of families at the Vatican when the youngster wandered on stage.
Identified only as the ‘boy in yellow’ the lad stared at Pope Francis as he spoke to the crowds in St Peter’s Square.
Pope Francis had an unexpected companion onstage at the Vatican last weekend. Catholics from all over the world gathered to celebrate the Year of Faith, but one little boy wanted to be closer to the Holy Father. So he climbed onstage and stood by the pope. Pope Francis clearly didn’t mind, and he was even amused when the boy refused to leave his side. When it was time for the pope to make his speech, an aide tried make the boy return to his seat. Instead, the boy ran to the pope and gave him a big hug. What did Pope Francis do? He sat the kid on his own chair and continued with his speech. This pope seems like a pretty cool guy.
