A Reporter Shares His Experience Of Going To Jail For Covering The Protests In Ferguson, Missouri

Reporter Ryan J. Reilly of the Huffington Post tells this horrifying tale of what he and a fellow reporter from the Washington Post endured as they risked their lives in Missouri to report the news to their fellow Americans. Ryan goes into detail about what he experienced in that Mcdonalds as he was reporting on the events he witnessed.

One might disagree with this journalist or one might agree but the constitution of the United States was designed to protect his right to record the activities of the police in Missouri. These police officers decided to disregard those rights. We have shown when police officers go above and beyond the call of duty to help others and take their oaths seriously but we must also cover it when they don’t. What is inspirational here is the fact that reporters cover these events often at risk of their own lives but without them, we would not know of the events around us. These reporters do a great service to all of us.
