A Nurse Who Saved 2,500 Children From Holocaust

Irena Sendler was a polish humanitarian who smuggled children out of the warsaw Ghetto. She managed to get children out by putting them in bushels, coffins and anything that she could. She buried the lists that contained the true identities of the children and were eventually was able to recover it. She was caught and tortured for what she had done but was saved by another person in the Polish Underground.
